Today I’ve started potty training! I woke up dry from overnight last night so mommy told me to go try to go potty. I peed on the potty for the first time ever!!

We didn’t have a party yet, but Grandma came down just for the day. It was a busy one, that’s for sure!!! We got up and he got his presents from mommy and daddy. We went to breakfast, went to the zoo, went to lunch, came home and played, then got the sand and water table from Grandma. So we played with that, and then had cake (we had to cut half off since while we were playing outside the cat licked the frosting off) :feh: Then we all needed chill time so we watched Curious George. At about 7:30 we decided to go to dinner. We went to Carrabbas and Gabe seems to have something against that restaurant. He did NOT want to be there… kept crying. I was at the point where I said we needed to leave… it was way past his bed time and he was not calming down. I suggested we get a table outside. (Gabe has always calmed down outside since birth) So he was like a brand new kid and dinner was enjoyable. We got home at 10:45 that night. LATE! Anyway, it was a good day. Here are some pictures

Sunday night Daddy put my bed up in my new room. I slept pretty well. I fell asleep about 30 mins after Daddy tried to lay me down and only woke up once at 5:50 am. I got up for good at 7am. A little early, but good.

Monday I refused to take a nap for mommy… too much going on in my head. Monday night I fell asleep well for mommy… within 15-30 mins. Then when daddy got home late I woke up because of the sound of his car.. around 1:30 am. Daddy got me back to sleep and I woke up at 7am again.

Tonight was more rough. I didn’t want to go to bed because I was having such a good time playing outside before bed time. Daddy laid down with me for an hour and I just wouldn’t go to sleep. Finally he got up and left my room. I stood at my door and cried for around 10 mins and then Mommy came and laid down with me. I was out within 15 minutes. We’ll see if I make it the whole night tonight…

So earlier today I asked Mommy to watch “boos coos” (Blue’s Clues.) After that was over I asked for “dee dee tay” (Veggie Tales.) Mommy wasn’t sure if I meant boos coos or dee dee tay so she turned on another boos coos. I kept telling her “uh uh dee dee tay.” So she turned on some dee dee tay for me and asked “is this what you wanted to watch?” I turned around and put my finger to my lips to get her to shhhh.

Yesterday mommy was asking me to help her pick up the pillows for the couch and I was ignoring her. Daddy came over and said “Help your mother and pick up the pillow.” I just rolled my eyes, sighed and went back to playing with my cars. Mommy and Daddy were just standing there with their mouths open. Daddy raised his voice and gave me the pillow.. I helped then.

I got to spend the day at home with mommy and daddy today. Daddy and mommy have been so impressed with me lately. I am so quick to pick up things. I have been able to say go and outside as well as goggy (doggy). Today for the first time I said want to go outside with goggy. Mommy and Daddy just looked at each other, very surprised. To day I was playing on my drums this morning and brought them over to daddy to have him play. He took the sticks and hit them together counting off the cadence that he played for me. Well I picked right up on that. I took the sticks from Daddy and counted “two, thee” as I clicked the sticks together. Also, Daddy had an unfortunate situation today while working on my new room. Of course when daddy had the problem he sighed. I joined him in the sighing. I wanted to know I sympathized with him. I have been loving to color lately. I want to color all the time. I especially enjoy coloring on y new wood floor that daddy has been laying for me in my new room. Thats all for now, but as I grow you will know. bye…

Currently I’m counting down to my birthday and the birth of my baby sister, Cadence. Here is the count down ticker for her:

A few of my favorite things to do are go on a bike ride to the park with Daddy, kick the ball around outside with Daddy, play blocks with mommy, paint, color, chase the doggy around the house with my tractor and pull the kitties tails.

I’m saying new things every day and am doing my best to be helpful to mommy and daddy. I can wash my hands in the sink all by myself now. I also learned how to get out of my crib, but Mommy fixed that by moving my bedside table away. My favorite foods are “ceese” (cheese) and mandarin oranges. I like to drink “coch” chocolate milk and strawberry milk.
I like to pat Mommy’s belly and say “baby.” Sometimes I even point to my belly or Daddy’s and say “baby,” too.
